Final dossier
The final dossier will be posted online in mid-December 2021.
Project eligibility
Any project meeting the criteria of the "AAP Projets Research OCEAN 2021" call for proposals, whose scientific objectives are within the scope of OCEAN.
Eligible expenses
Eligible expenses under this call for proposals concern all expenses that can be financed by the Institute, in accordance with the A*Midex finance vademecum, over a 26-month period (missions and stays, season school, doctoral and post-doctoral contracts, small equipment, etc.).
Please see below for specific conditions for doctoral and post-doctoral contracts.
OCEAN encourages post-doctoral proposals. Those interested in a PhD are invited to consult the OCEAN-PhD AAP published in December.
Note on doctoral and post-doctoral contracts
Recruitment of temporary staff will follow A*Midex procedures.
- Doctoral contract: given the expected budget for these interdisciplinary projects and the tight timetable, the project sponsor should contact the Institut des Sciences de l'Océan as soon as possible to determine precisely the actions to be taken and to ensure that the best candidate is recruited. A feasibility study on the use of funding granted for a doctoral contract is currently underway, and we advise project leaders wishing to set up a doctoral contract to contact OCEAN before submitting their application.
- Post-doctoral contracts: In order to guarantee satisfactory conditions for young researchers selected for post-doctoral contracts, we recommend a minimum duration of 18 months for this type of contract. The project can guarantee this duration through co-financing.
OCEAN selection criteria
- Scientific excellence and integration into a scientific project in the case of recruitment
- Corresponding to OCEAN objectives and challenges(Appendix 1)
- Development or structuring of interdisciplinary and Internationally-oriented research activities within the institute.
